I am so agog when I see this photo from Photoseek. This is Varlaam Monastery in Kastraki, Greece. According to records, Roussanou was built in year 1545 and Grand Meteora Monastery was founded in the 1300's ADI. I am totally out of idea how those people can construct a building on that steep pinnacle. Now I am wondering how those people buying their daily chores. :PI am sure nature lover and photographer will like to pay a visit there. So many views we can discover from the top of the pinnacle. If you wish to enjoy more views, you can hop over to the site and enjoy those photos taken by Tom Dempsey.

Just looking at the picture gives me vertigo. Back then, I guess you had to have a fortified place if you wanted to survive. Probably didn't have to worry about being robbed much either.
Thanks for dropping by and your comment. Please do come again. ;)
