Another Award

This is another award to hubby. As I told you before, he is crazy with photography. He frequent participant with local and international photography competition recently. I didn't ask him personally but I think he is attempting to get some achievement or authentication of his photography skill.

From more than 120,000 entries, his photo has been given a Commended award in the People & Portraits category in the Digital Camera Photographer of the Year competition. This is an honor and a big motivation as well. Actually he put high hope with it because the prizes are so attractive. LOL

Excited news is, the awarded photos will be appearing in the Photographer of the Year exhibition running at Mall Galleries, London, from Monday 16th February to Saturday 28th February. The private view was on 18th February. How we wish we can be there.....

Signs and Lighting

I do concern with the visibility of signboards and the lighting brightness in a building. Those building I mention including shopping malls, residential apartments as well as condos.

Signs are importance for me especially the place is new to me. I did get loss in a building with poor direction signage. Don't laugh at me. It's true and this is a very bad experience to me. It's so importance as the signs are one of the conveniences to the visitors. Besides, I do found most of the building especially those 'old' building having no Braille exit signs. This is one of the weaknesses that need to be improving for the benefits of those in blind.

Not only the signs but the lighting designs, placement or the location in a building is a convenience to the users as well. I am sure you will feel unsecured if you park your car in a shopping mall car park which is dark.

Do you check or aware about the emergency lights whenever you enter into a building? I have a friend don't even cares about the failure of the emergency lighting at his apartment. As per the name, you will only need it when it's an emergency. Who can confirm and tell you that you never ever need it in your life?

EA2008

As you all aware, deadline of the Form E submission is on the end of March 2009. Perhaps all of you who in-charged of the forms preparation can well plan your time to finish fill up the 2008 EA forms for your employees and manage to submit Form E on time.

As a blogger, I wish to have more and more visitors come and share my thoughts. I think you will be same like me if you are running online businesses. The more visitors mean you changes of getting more sales and income is higher.

New Robbery Method

I don't know whether this is the right way to spread out this news. I wish to create the awareness. But I am so afraid that when I published this, there will be some bad guys learned and will using the same method to trick!

This is an email I received from one of my colleague. I hate to read this actually as I feel so disappointed with those robbery who acting so smart and I do wish them can not enjoying peaceful in the rest of their life.

New theft technique. Just received this latest theft technique used by robbers. It seems feasible so take heed.

Warning for all the ladies out there; and men please inform your significant other. (And, hey, it could happen to the guys!)

The Latest Scam: Robbing Females using the restroom/'ladies'/bathroom at a Shopping Mall... ...

The way the scam works is, a man slips into a women rest room and sneaks into a unit. He waits until there is only one woman in the restroom in a neighboring unit/stall.

The criminal then stands on the toilet seat and points a hand gun into the next unit/stall, demanding the woman's valuables. After getting her cash and jewelery, he demands that she remove all of her clothing and kick them out of the unit/stall. The thief tosses the clothing into a shopping bag, hangs an 'out of order sign' on the restroom door outside, and slips back into the mall. The 'out of order sign' ensures no one will soon come to the woman's rescue. It usually takes an hour or two for the woman to work up the nerve to leave the rest room in the nude, giving the criminal ample time to make his get away. The woman is left naked humiliated in a mall full of strangers.

The best defense, say police, is to never go into a shopping mall restroom alone, as only women who are by themselves are targeted.

This has so far been a nearly perfect crime, as none of the perpetrators have been caught.

Give Up

I wish to change my blog template with I had wasted so many times to keep on trying and trying but failed. To apply a beautiful and great design template is so easy when you open a new blog. But for my blog which already more than one year old this seems like hard to me.

I keep on getting error message and I don’t know how to fix it. I am no good with html or script writing. I just copy those code & paste to my blog template setting and it’s not work! I am totally disappointed now. Maybe I shall give up my mind to change my blog template design. *Sigh*

Lunch Reservation

Some times it's hard to decide where to eat. For those you are often eat out side, you will know what I mean. We always have such a headache problem before lunch time at office.

We have a group of lunch time gang. I did suggest that one day one person to be a leader and bring us to eat at his or her favorite foods. This idea works for few weeks and we having another problem. Because we have one hour lunch time only and we often back to office late due to long waiting our seats or foods. My plan now is to have a complete list of New York Restaurants. We call before we departure from office to make our reservations. I am sure we manage to back to office on time from next week onwards!

Sweet Decision

I am so happy with Ann’s hubby decision. James told me that he is going to buy a set of Le Creuset Tagine to Ann as this year Valentine present.

As I told you before, Ann kept on complaint about she didn’t received any valentine present from James since the third years after they married. Every year she is the one prepared and buys gifts for both of them because James told her that married couples no need to celebrate Valentine day.

I told James about how Ann's feeling and suggested him to buy some thing for this year Valentine. He is actually so surprise with what Ann complaint about. He had totally forgotten what he had said and he thought Ann likes and enjoy to Valentine preparation every years so he didn’t do anything. Oh My!

From this I learned that even thought husband and wife also need to be communicated all the time and be honest to each others. If you are not happy with what he or she acted, just voice out directly. Otherwise, misunderstanding will be the one kill off the loves and romances.

That is a very sweet decision as James knows Grace wishes to learn how to cook Tunisian tajine. I am sure Grace loves it. Well, I am going to ask her make me one later to pamper me as I am the one helping them back to romantic life. Wishing them a Happy Valentine’s Day!

No More Hope

I know I should not be negative thinking but this is the fact. I have no choice but to accept this.

It supposed to be perfect if everything goes smooth as what I planned. But the fact is, that is only my dream. I am totally failed.

Isn't it life is not as what we wish then only will be this is called a 'perfect' life?

*sob*

Clear Debts Before CNY

I do believe that clearing all debts before Chinese New Year so to enjoy a wealth and luck in coming New Year. This is what Chinese believe. I seldom owe people money. Or to say, I don’t like to borrow from people. I am a careless woman. I did borrow from others and forget to pay back. Maybe he didn’t want to spoil our friendship so he asked Collection Agency to see me. Then only I realize that I own him for months. From the day onwards, I told myself not to repeat the same mistake.

But I did it again! My friend spend and brought a gift to one of our friends new born baby and she send us message ask us to pay back by bank in to her bank account. But I totally forgot about it and I own her until today! Now, Chinese New Year had already over. I will have a risk of being a poor woman this year. And the true is its happening! *sob*

So, to make sure no body will having a poor wealth New Year, you are responsible to get back and ensure no body is owing your before the end of a year. :P

Spare Button

When you buy clothes with button, you will find one or two spare button along with the clothes. I believe that the providers having such a great idea is because they give it as a spare and extra units so that they may not headache when they loss one or two of the particular button on the cloth. Actually it looks strange if you sew one different design button with the original button.

I really appreciate to the nice and careful thought of the providers. I am having a silly question over here. Will you remove and keep those spare buttons in a 'safety' place or you will just leave it at those clothes without taking any action?

Professional

What is your position in your company? Are you working with your company as what your post title is? Some times I am curious with this. The company management prefers their employees to be multi task. This means you have to know and do whatever that you can do and contribute the best that you can to serve the company. When your daily jobs are multi task that means you can diversify to other fields or division.

I don’t think this is good if for a person who want to be a professional. If you want to be a professional, you may need to work ahead and gather more experience with your field. This is the reason why my colleague started her online degree to enhance her profession knowledge. And I am totally agreed with her decision. Not to be one that knows anything but nothing is strength. She wants to be a professional.

Socket-Deer from Nendo

I am not the type of creative person, so whenever I saw those creative ideas, I will be so happy. My mind will wonder how and in what the condition is the idea came out and it finally been created.

This is one of the creative electricity stuffs that give me a surprise. A little white electrical outlet turns to a pretty deer in snow. What are you going to hang on there other than holding your handphone while charging?

Take Action, Please!

My colleague Ann told me that she wishes she can goes back to her age of 18th. Goes back to the time when she is young. When the time she is a famous girl. When the time she having plenty of choices who to celebrate with on the Valentine day.

She told me that she was getting bunch of roses and chocolates as well as Valentine gifts every year. That was the most memorable period that she is so unforgettable and she keeps on sharing with me.

She missed the time so much. She complained to me that after married for 15 years and having four children, her hubby does not celebrate Valentine with her anymore. Her hubby is the type of traditional I think. He only celebrate with her when the first two years after married. Thereafter, he claimed that married couple no needs to celebrate the event. Of course, Ann is not agreeable with him. So, every year she will still spend to buy gift on the Valentine day. But Ann is getting bored this year.

Since I know this so I suggested her hubby take some action this year. Maybe a dozen of long stem roses or a box of chocolate or just a Valentine card, it’s just nice to make her happy on the day. Just a simple action you can make your women happy, you know what to do, James!

Not Yet Received Form BE 2009

I still not yet received my Form BE from IRD. My family members had already received the form and started to gather all the necessary info to fill up their forms but I am still waiting my.

I remembered last year the same happened to me. Because of meeting the deadline, I make a photocopy of my hubby’s Form BE and submitted my tax computation to IRD. IRD returned the form that I had submitted and attached an original form for me to resubmit.

I think it’s better to call them up to confirm whether I still can do the same if the form not reaches to me. Maybe I shall start to check and ready all my relevant info first so that I manage to submit my Form BE on time.

I always wonder what will be the best way getting good returns with my extra money through investment. It seems like we can not gain so much if we continue save our money in bank account fixed deposit. After the interest rate revised, the returns are just too little. I am sure no one will happy about it.

I started consider whether to get help from trading advisory for my future investment. Since I had failed many times involving in investment which I had loss so mach money that I had invested. Dislodge Foreign Object in Nose

This is a new lesson that I learned today.

I read my friend's blog and this is a horrible one. A little pop corn goes into her daughter SQ's nose! And it was stuck inside for 3 hours! Luckily she managed to solve it out finally. Here is the tip that I learned:

Compress the unblocked nostril and encourage the child to sneeze with his mouth closed. Often this will dislodge the foreign object.

To prevent this happen to my two little princesses, I had already tell them the incident that happened to SQ.
