This is what I feel that is seriously and wish to share with you all. Always learn from people's experience. If you think this will never happen to you, good luck to you. No harm being reminded even if you've read this before.

This lady has changed her habit of how she lists her names on her mobile phone after her handbag was stolen.

Her handbag, which contained her cell phone, credit card, wallet etc, was stolen. 20 minutes later when she called her hubby, from a pay phone telling him what had happened, hubby says 'I received your text asking about our Pin number and I've replied a little while ago.'

When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the money was already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the stolen cell phone to text 'hubby' in the contact list and got hold of the pin number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their bank account.

Moral of the lesson: Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your contact list. Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad, Mom, etc. And very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked through texts, confirm by calling back.

Also, when you're being text by friends or family to meet them somewhere, be sure to call back to confirm that the message came from them. If you don't reach them, be very careful about going places to meet 'family and friends' who text you.

I never thought about THAT! As of right now I no longer have 'home' named on my cell phone.

I never thought of this and neither have you, right?

Car Insurance Claim VOID

What we expect to get a car insurance coverage is to protect ourselves from the loss of our car from stolen. But do you know not all stolen cases are under the insurance coverage? Here is the real story which I get it from my mail. This is confirmed by insurance companies. Please be aware rather than regret later!

This is a real story, my nephew told me and I would like to share with all of
you. Be careful, if you have the habit of sending yr car for car wash or similar
matter (car jockey etc)

My nephew sent his car for car wash in the car
park of one Shopping Complex while he had an appointment there. He handed the
car keys to the car wash people and left the car park for his appointment.

After the appointment he went to collect his car and the car wash people
told him that his car had been collected. How can it be? After a prolonged
argument without any results, he had no choice, but to make a police report and
follow up by insurance claim.

Insurance company rejected his claim
because the reason is the car was not stolen, the point of contention was why
did he hand over the car keys to someone unknown, and why did he not wait there
till the car washing was finished?

So, be careful next time. If you
really need to send your car for car wash, better stay there and wait for your
car. if not, this may happen to you...

So, will you believe in car jockey after reading this?

Handphone Security

Whenever I go to ATM machine, I always saw people pressing their handphone and search for their account bank. Are you one of them? I just feel unsecure this way. Of course storing your bank password in handphone is higher risk but by storing bank accounts number in handphone will it be a risk? I really have no idea but I am definitely out of this group.

Dry Ice Precaution

This is an email send to me last Saturday. I didn't investigate whether this is a fact but I feel that I need to post it here and share with you all. I do wish this can be an awareness to all who are driving with dry ice inside the car.

Don't put dry ice in your car seat without opening the window. Remember this especially when you buy lots of ice cream during the Baskin Robbins 31st day offer!

They normally put dry ice in your ice cream pack if you buy a lot. A friend bought four packs of ice cream and to prevent it from melting, the seller put the dry ice amongst the ice cream.

My friend put it at the back seat (not the back of the car) and he started to drive with the windows closed and the air-cond on (as what we all do). Soon after that, he had difficulty breathing and it was getting worse by minutes. Luckily, he was in a traffic jam and when he almost fainted, beside him was an ambulance.

He dragged himself to the ambulance and got the oxygen treatment. He was getting better on the way to the hospital. The ambulance officer drove his car to the hospital and he had the same experience. However, before his condition worsens, he opened up the window and he can breathe easily.

Only later, when my friend returned to office and told his colleagues about his story, they pointed to him that the dry ice was the problem.

WHY? Dry ice was made of CO2 and when it "melts", it becomes CO2 gas immediately without leaving any wet mark (that is why it is called dry ice).

CO2 is easier to be linked up in our blood and thus, when the dry ice sublimes into CO2 gas, it fills the car room with it along with the air-cond circulation and caused CO2 poisoning.

So, don't put the dry ice inside your car if you are using air-cond with fully closed windows. You must leave the windows open for such situation.

Hope this will help to prevent any fatality just from a small negligence/ignorance like this. Imagine if you have your children inside, they might be the victim.

Mail Server Report

Anyone-using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning direct from both Microsoft and Norton.

Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet. You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled "Mail Server Report."

If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying:
'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.'

Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC, And the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.

This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon.

AOL has already confirmed the severity, and anti-virus software is not yet capable of destroying it.

The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'.

Please pass this message on to all of your friends and relatives who are using email and internet and ask them to PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY!

Deen-Comteck. How is the name created? Sorry, don't ask me. I have totally no idea. This is the name of latest detected computer virus.

I just can't believe that why they are people eat full enough until nothing to do and make sure a bad thing to others.

You should be alert during the next few days:

Do not open any message with an attached file called ' Invitation' regardless of who sent it. It is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer.

This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list that is why you should send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.

If you receive a mail called 'invitation', though sent by a friend, do not open it and shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced by CNN. It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.

This virus was discovered by McAfee, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

Whether Change

These few days at my area having big different of weather changing. At morning session, sunshine is beautiful enough. Until noon the sunlight hot until we feel it like a hot sews. But when comes to evening, days becomes dark and follow by heavy rain.

Do not forget bring along your umbrella if you go out. For those who driving to work, please drive slowly and drive safe.

Traffic Jam Experience

What is the most terrible happen if you are struggle in traffic jam? I don’t mind to drive slowly like a snail. I don’t mind my right leg is tired as I drive manual car. But what makes me angry is when I drive alone, stuck in the long jam, but I wish to go washroom. Small business still can wait but if big business then it's really bad luck.

I am sure you can fully understand my feeling if you have such experience as me. If you are not experiencing this, take my advice. Go to washroom before drive out. :P

Keep your files properly

After so many news and photos distributed out, we all have to learn from the experience. Do keep all your softcopy files properly. If you don't want to become one of the news titles or become a headlines story, just remember to keep it in a secure place.

How secure is a secure one? I have really no idea. Either you manage to keep it by yourself only or you destroy it. Else, take my advice: Do not do it. As long as a copy is on another people hand, that will be a risk for explosion. Honestly, I not dare to try...

Beware of Two Way Mirror

I will minimize my shopping frequency whereby those clothing need to have a try in fitting room. Or to say, I will only go to those shop outlets that I am familiar with. This is all because I do not wish to become nude model or an actress by people's capture. I will try to look into details every corner of the fitting rooms or washroom to ensure that there is no hidden camera waiting for me. More over, I just found that two way mirror also one of ladies enemy.

This is an email I received from my friend on how to recognize and detect a two way mirror. I wish to share with all ladies and beware:

When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc. How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror (i.e., they can see you, but you can't see them).

There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror we are looking at?

Just conduct this simple test:

Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.

However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, FOR IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR!

So remember , every time you see a mirror, do the "fingernail test." It doesn't cost you anything. It is simple to do, and it might save you from getting "visually raped"!

The reason there is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass. As a two-way mirror, the silver is on the surface. Keep it in mind!

Beware of voice message from "Malaysia High Court"

No body wants to get in trouble. How you will do if you received a phone call from Malaysia High Court? If you are the one so 'lucky' to pick up a call which is a voice message call from Malaysia High Court, I am now warn you to hang up the phone directly. Here is a forwarded email wrote by the case victim on 18.05.07:

I am writing this e-mail to warn all of you. This is what happen to me on 18th may 2007 at 10.00am. The phone rang and I answer, a voice message stated that the call is from the Malaysian High Court mentioning that i have a case to attend at the KL High Court. Rather curious of what sort of case I have, so i press 9 to talk to the operator.

The operator speaks very ' slow English ' if you know what I mean. She insists that I must give her my name and IC no. in order for her to check what sort of case I have. I hold on for a few seconds and she asks me if that is really my IC no. I confirmed and she also confirmed that I have a case to attend. She says that she will fax the document over to Bukit Aman Police station and the officer will call me in 3 minutes. So I hung up, through enough I received the call less than 2 minutes.

He announced himself as Yeoh Long Wah from Bukit Aman police station. He asks me a lot of questions and say the criminal have use my IC detail to open bank account in Maybank and Public Bank in Negeri Sembilan. He then asks me whether I have a bank account in Maybank and Public Bank. I told him that I have a Public Bank a/c. He says that I have to answer his questions honestly so that he can help me with my case. The questions he ask like have you lost your IC before, did you hand over your IC to anybody for documentaion and how much money you have in your a/c. I told him I cannot reveal the amount in my account and that I will
meet him in Bukit Aman police station. He says fine and meets him before 4pm and gave me the phone no 03-77826222.

I rang my lawyer and ask for advice. She asks me to fix the appointment with the so call police on Sat or Monday since today is Friday and mosque day. I called the no 77826222 and the police answer telling me that this is not Bukit Aman police station but police station in Old Klang Road. I told the police the problem and he told me to launch a police report in Subang Jaya police station because they have been receiving a lot of these calls from people.

I went to Public Bank to freeze all my a/c for the time being. I am sharing all these with you so that you will not go through the trauma I went through.

I am wondering if the victim not aware about the serious of the case, what happen will be the next. This is to advise you all, anything pertaining to legal cases, please do contact and get advise from your lawyer before you take any further action.

I always think that we live in earth as our homeland; we have to put some effort to protect it before it is too late. I am aware that the world temperature getting higher compare to before. It's all because of human careless and makes such thing happen. You hurt it and one day it will hurt you as well. I am very interesting about this great article. If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying: "It is too late now your life is no longer beautiful." Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC and the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.

I am not sure how every one keep for their saving. For me, I will put my major portion of extra cash in FD rather than investment. I just want to make sure I have some funds for any emergency needs. Taxi Passenger Awareness

Do you often take a taxi?
Do you often take a taxi after office hours or at night?
Do you often take a taxi alone?
Do you allow the taxi driver to take another passenger along with you?

I just read through an e-mail from my sister. It's about a female victim who takes boarded a taxi from a LRT station to home in town. On the middle of the road, the taxi driver take a stopped to pick up another passenger (male) who seemed to be going off the same direction. The victim didn't suspect anything as they looked genuine, and he was going her direction and she was in a hurry.

But when she asked the taxi driver to turn into the junction where she lives, the driver pretended to miss it and the male passenger said that since they were already nearer to his place, why not send he off first and the driver politely asked for the victim permission... and she thought she was doing a good deed!

As soon as they got to the end of the quite housing area, the male passenger locked all the doors and leapt to the back and held a knife at her throat and forced her to bend her head down - she had to give up her jewelry and the $200 cash she had.

Not satisfied with only that much, they threatened for more so they drove off
to a bank nearby and took out everything she had..... The driver returned the card after clearing the account! Then they drove off to another area and dropped her off there, left her with only $10 and ask her to take another taxi home! The victim had to walk a long way back to the main road to get help and she is really traumatized by all these.

Later at the police station, she found out that she was 3rd victim that same day!

Let's remind everyone we know, as it could easily happen to us too or to anyone we care about. The lesson to be learnt here:

1. Always check the plate number BEFORE you board a taxi.
2. Always check the other things that a taxi should have the driver's ID, the inside number etc.
3. NEVER allow the driver to pick up another passenger - No matter what! If they do, get off from the taxi.
4. Avoid taking the taxi alone, if you can.
5. be extra careful if it is after office hours.

Pass on these words; you may help others to prevent this happened.
