Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd is a sewerage company in Malaysia. I am wonder will all the Malaysian pay for the sewerage fees because I had heard from newspaper that the collection was a failure.
If you are buying a second hand house, you have to make sure that the sewerage fees have been settle by the ex-house owner. Other wise, you have to contact the company personally asking for outstanding account balance waiver. From my experience, the company may approve your request on the spot.
Secondly, you need to write a letter and fax to the company for changing of ownership. All you need is to prepare a simple letter informing the company your house address attached with your Sales and Purchase Agreement and the house water deposit receipt. (I think the company need the water deposit receipt to confirm your application not a con).
Another importance point you have to mention in the letter is about the new billing date. Somebody may get the house key first but not occupied the house. You should mention to the company stated that you prefer to start billing from the resident date.
